"You saw him too, Frank?", Joe looked up at his brother. "He wants dad to be hurt too." Tears slid down his face as he watched Franks pale face.

Frank stood rooted to the spot still clutching his brothers hand. He couldn't believe what he’d just seen. Suddenly, he looked around.

"Where’s Simon?", he asked looking towards the bathroom down the hall.  Concern growing for their older brother, they ran down the hall to the bathroom door and rapped loudly.

There was no answer.

From downstairs, they heard another crash and strange laughter that sent chills up their spines. Frank clutched Joe's hand and pushed the bathroom door open.

Lying in the middle of the bathroom was Simon with his eyes staring unblinking at the ceiling. He wasn't moving. He wasn't breathing.

Frank dropped down beside his brother and put his hand on his chest. There was no pulse.

Simon was dead.

As Frank sat as if in a dream, he heard another crash from downstairs and turned to see Joe leaning against the door frame.

"Penny needs help!", Joe whispered and slipped out into the hall.

Frank ran after him and grabbed his hand. He wasn't about to get separated from Joe at a time like this. Frank felt like he couldn't breath.

This has to be a joke, he thought. Simon is just messing around. He’ll come running after us soon and laugh at us for believing him. Tears streamed down Franks face as he raced downstairs with Joe beside him. They ran into the living room and skidded to a halt.

Penny was gone. F

rank jumped as Joe screamed. He looked at Joe and saw Penny. She was lying behind the couch with her head at an unnatural angle to her body. Her eyes stared.

Frank sank to his knees and gasped at the gruesome sight. He looked wearily over at Joe who had fallen beside him. Suddenly he was so angry he couldn't see straight. It was all Joe's fault, he thought furiously. He insisted we watch that awful ghost movie the night before.

Joe turned to Frank to see his brother looking daggers at him. He looked back at Frank with tears in his eyes. Why was Frank looking at him like that.

Suddenly Frank lunged at Joe and knocked him over. He sat on Joe's chest and began slapping his face. Joe recoiled and shrieked trying to wriggle free. But Frank held him down and seemed to go crazy. With the salty taste of blood on his lips Joe began to slide into the darkness of his living nightmare.
