Author's Name: Cherylann Rivers Title of Story: "Fire and Ice" Type of Story: AU/ Crossover Rating of Story: PG- 15 Characters in Story: F, Ca, J, V, Fe, ND, NN Story Posted Date: April, 2008 Warnings: OCCASIONALLY, there is a bad word or two, but it is not meant for gratuitous purposes. The subject of the case that the Hardys are working on is serious, although there are no explicit scenes. Plot Blurb: The Hardys are working on a case that hits a bit too close to home when Callie and Vanessa are witnesses to a serious crime. Unable to solve the case on their own, they ask Nancy Drew for help, and a mystery emerges that ultimately asks everyone to question who they really are. Splash Page: See the Prologue! Special Notes: This story has taken me over a year and a half to write. I always start out with questions that I would have liked to see answered in the Casefiles or Supermysteries, but never are. What started out simply as asking whether or not Frank would choose Callie or Nancy if confronted by both turned into a completely different story, in which everything I would have liked to see written (Frank and Joe's relationship in depth; the role of Iola; the questions we must face when we ask who we really are) I have done my best to explain. I ask that you read this story even if you're not a Nancy Drew fan or you don't like the subject matter. I think you'll see that in the end, in my world, things do end up okay. I hope that you enjoy reading this story as much as I enjoyed writing it! J I cannot thank JD enough for the time she dedicated as a BETA for this story; she is a wonderful writer and friend. I also am indebted to Alaina for her encouragement, HONESTY, willingness to give Nancy a chance (!), and inspiring me with her own writing.
