Author's Name: Cherylann Rivers

Title of Story: Where Troubles Melt

Type of Story: Casefile

Rating of Story: PG

Characters in Story: F, J, C, V, I, Chet, Fenton

Warnings: serious subplot dealing with Callie. Other than that, nothing
graphic

Plot Blurb: After a series of jewelery stores are robbed, Frank and Joe set
out to find who is behind them. Their quest leads them to seek out the
criminals, only to find themselves involved in an elaborate plot designed to enact revenge against the Hardy family. Can they discover the clues in time to save themselves? What are the effects of serious miscommunication between the brothers? Also, as a continuation of the previous stories, Joe must struggle with his feeling towards Vanessa and Iola, and Callie's fight against a life-threatening illness puts everything in perspective...

Splash Page:  When Frank didn't respond, he looked at his friend. "Frank? Did you hear me? I said I want to forget all about this."

Frank turned to him as he opened the passenger door and was about to get in. The look of resolve on Frank's face was not one that Tony could miss. Tony felt uneasy. "Frank?"

"Actually, Tony, I plan on getting back here as soon as I can to check this out," Frank answered.

"Man, are you crazy?! Those guys almost killed that little girl! Leave it alone. Have a nice summer, without any cases. This is your last chance to relax. " He got in the car.

Frank got in the car after him. "I can't leave it alone, Tony. They took Callie's ring. I plan on getting it back."

Tony shook his head in wonder and amazement at Frank, and started the car.  They headed home.

Special Notes:  Although not necessary to read, it would be helpful to read "Make a Wish" and especially "Classified Secrets" in order to better understand the character developments and relationships.
