Chet Morton:  Chet is one of the Hardys' closest friends.  Chet lives outside of Bayport, on his parents' farm.  He is amiable and friendly to nearly everyone, which sometimes works against Frank's and Joe's investigations!  Chet plays center on the football team at Bayport High.  He is shorter than the Hardys, with a stocky build [he keeps this physique by his favorite pastime - EATING!], and has been described in various books as having brown hair, blonde hair, and reddish hair [take your pick!],  freckles, and a pug nose.  Although he professes not to care for being involved with Frank's and Joe's mysteries, the brothers can always count on Chet for help, if they need him.  And occasionally, his various hobbies are of assistance, as well.
