Con Riley: Con is the Hardys’ main contact on the Bayport police force. While he shares his chief’s opinion of civilians interfering in police matters, he also realizes that Frank and Joe can sometimes be of inestimable help. Riley has changed very much over the decades, for when he was first introduced, he was a bumbling patrolman who was demoted for allowing a thief he had caught to rob him and escape; and is portrayed as being so slow-witted and stupid that the Hardys have no difficulty manipulating him as they please. In the later books, he is smart, dedicated, and savvy as they come, and is often willing to work with the brothers...or at least, not to throw too many obstacles in their way!

 

The Hardy Boys belong to Simon and Schuster and the Stratemeyer Foundation. The Hardy Boys Fan Fiction authors of the Hardy Detective Agency have just borrowed them for an adventure or two.
