Fenton Hardy: Fenton Hardy was once a crack detective with the New York City Police Department, and now has a highly successful career as a private investigator. He is famous for his exploits and crime-solving abilities both in the United States and on the international scene as well. He has taught Frank and Joe a great deal about investigating and solving crimes and mysteries, and often includes them in his cases.

Tall, handsome, and well-built, Fenton has dark hair and dark eyes like his older son Frank, who resembles him closely, and is in his mid-forties in age.
