the eve of Frank’s 11th birthday party, he and Joe recall
the trip they had taken the previous year to celebrate Frank’s
birthday.
Splash Page: “I ain’t your daddy,” a thick voice whispered in my ear. My mind started racing – where was Dad? Where was Frank? Surely they followed me into the restroom.
NOTE:
This
is my first attempt at a first-person narrative story. The speaker is
sometimes Joe, and sometimes Frank. While
I don’t announce who is speaking, it’s fairly easy to tell as you
read into the chapter. I do
not change speakers during any
chapters. I know it’s different from my usual stories, but I hope you
enjoy it.
