Author’s Name: CQB

Title of Story: "South American Search & Rescue"

Type of Story: Casefiles

Rating of Story: PG (guns and violence, but pretty mild)

Characters in Story: Frank, Joe, Fent, Laura, Gert, Cal, Van, Collig, Riley, Sam, Jack, OC

Critique:  NO

Plot Blurb: Fenton and Jack disappear on an undercover case in Bolivia. When Frank, Joe, Sam Radley and Conner Bailey arrive to search the jungle, they encounter a vicious militia leader named Mafesto Santiago.

Splash Page: "You and Joe will stay here at the mission," Conner replied, "or I’ll ship you both back to Bayport. You will not be going anywhere near Santiago or his encampment!"

That was all Joe’s bottled-up emotions could handle. Despite Sam’s restraining hand on his shoulder and Frank’s hand on his arm, Joe erupted from his seat like an angry volcano.

"NO!" he shouted, his chair falling backward and hitting the concrete floor with a bang. "We are not a couple of amateurs, Conner! You can’t push us aside like this!" Joe’s fists pounded the table and his words ended with a heart-wrenching sob. Joe hurriedly left the room before he broke down completely in front of everyone.

NOTES:

I continue to build Jack Wayne’s character in this story. My Jack is half Indian and uses a lot of "western" lingo. In this story, I’ve also tried to give Sam Radley a little character. They are both rather boring in the Hardy Boy books.

I use some French in this story. I do not speak the language, so please be gracious.
