Plot Blurb: Joe gets into an argument with his father and decides to run away. He is forced to call home when he gets into serious trouble.

“Please don’t think for a moment I’m not scared for Joe. I am! I’m terrified but this is something he obviously has to go through. He’s angry and he’s punishing us. Let him do that. Let him decide on his own when he’s ready to come home to us again. If he’s forced to he will hold a grudge for us for the rest of our life’s.  When he does come home again, we’ll be there for him.”

“But he will be so hurt that we didn’t try to look for him. He’ll think we don’t care.” Laura said.

“But he will also realize that this isn’t the way to deal with his problem’s. If we go after him now he will win and he will use this way to deal with other issues. He will be running away from his problem’s for the rest of his life instead of dealing with them.”

“How can you be so sure?” Laura stood up from her chair and stared straight at her husband waiting for his answer.

“Because this happened to me when I was his age.” Fenton replayed walking out of the room.
