He is proud of his sons’ sleuthing abilities, and is beginning to look forward to them sharing the same career. Although he can appear aloof and withdrawn at times, Fenton loves and cherishes his family dearly. |

Joe’s tall, blonde girlfriend, whose intelligence and
expertise with computers and graphics is highly appreciated by her
friends. Cool and witty,
as quick with a wisecrack as Joe himself, Vanessa finds her life
more and more inextricably intertwined with the younger Hardy –
and she’s not objecting!

Megan Wright:
Megan is a 5’2” redhead with a winning smile and
beautiful turquoise-blue eyes, whom Frank meets his first week of
college. She first
approached the Hardys for help in solving a suspected murder –
that of her father. However,
the attraction between Megan and Frank Hardy was immediate, and a
business relationship rapidly became an emotional attachment; she
and Frank became a solid “couple” in short order.
Intelligent, with a warm, gentle personality, Megan brings
out the lover in Frank like no other girl has been able to do.

Bella Scarpetti: Orphaned only daughter of Linda and Marco, Bella is 17 years old, and resembles her mother and her Aunt Laura, being petite, blonde, and blue-eyed. Finding that she has boy cousins almost the same age as she is comes as a shock to her, but she adapts quickly. And becoming acquainted with her cousins’ friends is a pleasant surprise, too! |
| Tony Prito: Juggling college classes and his job at Mr. Pizza, Tony still manages to make time for his old friends, and shows that loyalties to the Hardys, and his other friends, run deep. |

Linda Whittier Scarpetti: Laura Hardy’s identical twin sister, unexpectedly deceased. A blonde, blue-eyed beauty like her sister, Linda was married to Marco Scarpetti, also recently deceased. Mother of Isabelle, ‘Bella,’ Scarpetti. Linda had severed all ties with her sister Laura after their respective marriages. |
| Marco Scarpetti: The ‘white sheep’ of the notorious Scarpetti family of New York; before his death Marco was a chef and owner of Marco’s, an Italian restaurant. He broke off all relations with his family, as well as with Laura and Fenton, after marrying Linda. |

Dominic Scarpetti: Marco’s older brother, Dominic is a key figure in the Scarpetti ‘family’ activities, working for his father. But Dominic has his own ideas of how things should be run, and desires to be in charge, rather than answering to Antonio. |
| Antonio Scarpetti: Head of the Scarpetti family, Antonio is getting on in years and really would like to become better acquainted with his granddaughter, Bella. He’s wily and slippery, and no one doubts that he’s been involved in shady dealings all his life…but he loved his son Marco, and loves Bella, too. He might be willing to step down from his position, but he’s not ready to let Dominic take over quite yet! |

Alexander Harrington: The manager of Marco’s Italian Restaurant, Alex is a handsome man in his mid-50’s, with prematurely silvered hair and dark eyes. He was a good friend of Marco and Linda, and he seems to be very fond of Bella, but his relationship with the rest of the Scarpetti clan is slightly suspect. He would like to own Marco’s, rather than just managing it. |
| Con Riley: A detective on the Bayport City Police force, Con has been a good friend to the Hardy family, again and again. Slightly under six feet tall, and sturdily built, late-30’s Con has dark hair and blue eyes. |
