Plot Blurb

We step backwards a little in this story, which occurs in between April Showers and Death on the Fourth of July.

At long last, Joe and Vanessa, Biff and Chet, are graduating from high school.  Graduation is in nine days, and the excitement and anticipation are running high!

The Hardys and their girlfriends go to New York City, to attend a concert – and suddenly find themselves embroiled in a search for a missing violin, a valuable Stradivarius which belongs to Phil Cohen’s new girlfriend!  The hunt seems simple enough, at first…but things definitely start taking a nasty turn, as time goes on.  Will they solve the mystery before graduation day?

Splash Page:

“Joe?”  Alarmed by his silence and distance, she reached out to him.  Surely he hadn’t moved that far away – had he?  Why couldn’t she touch him?  Why did he seem to be fading – becoming part of the gauzy mist surrounding them?  Joe!  Answer me!  Don’t go!”  Again, Vanessa reached, frantically clutching at Joe’s increasingly-transparent form, only to see her hands pass through.  “JOE!”

Special Notes:

"FANFARE FOR JUNE" fits in-between "April Showers" and "Death on the Fourth of July" - it's a pre-prequel to "Ides of August."  Just FYI!
