Plot Blurb: Widower Fenton Hardy and his seventeen year old son, Frank, go in search of an old flame whom Fenton had forgotten until a bullet strikes his head.

Splash Page: Frank moaned again as his eyes fluttered open. Wallace walked back over to him. "Keep your mouth shut," he ordered in a gutteral voice.

Frank must have sensed Wallace's short leash because he said not a word as Wallace tied his hands behind his back and then bound his feet. Lastly, he gagged Frank. Standing up he ordered, "You just sit there nice and quiet." He turned and went into the bedroom.

At once, Frank began wiggling, trying to loosen his bonds. Wallace, having seen Frank's maneuvers through the open door came back out. "I warned you," he growled, pulling a handgun from the waist of his pants. He took aim at Frank and fired.
