This story had started as a challenge, and I had taken Dorothy’s Runaway as an inspiration and a starting point. At some point, the ‘I’ became ‘We’. And it had developed a little beyond what was planned, and ended up a story that one may say, was tailored for readers of the HDA. Buried in this story were several ‘treasures’ from fellow writers of the HDA. So we hope that beyond enjoying the premise of this story, you will also enjoy the little ‘treasure hunt’ that accompanied it.
