Plot Blurb: A trip to the gas station is anything but routine when Joe witnesses a possible murder! While Frank insists Joe lay low until the murderers have been caught, Joe uses his considerable powers of persuasion to convince his brother otherwise. The decision could prove to be disastrous when, while hiking with Vanessa in the beautiful Adirondack Forest, Joe finds himself stalked by both man…and beast!

Splash Page: Kevin carefully followed the black van, never taking his eyes off it. Not wanting Joe Hardy or his brother to discover they were being followed, Kevin made sure to stay far enough behind that he easily blended in with the Sunday morning traffic. When he noticed the young man driving the van had just veered to the right, taking the exit designated for the Adirondack Mountains, Kevin smiled.

"So, they’re headed for the mountains," Kevin said happily. "There are lots of things that could go wrong out in the wilderness, and it would look like an accident. It’s perfect!"
