The red-haired young man was whistling to himself as he pulled open the front door of a small, brightly-lit hair salon. The young woman leaning over the counter, idly flipping through the pages of a glossy magazine and wearing a black smock that said ‘Hair US out first!’ glanced at him and then did a double take.

“Oh my,” she whispered as she straightened up and tried to keep a grin off her face as she took in his almost iridescent hair. Clearing her voice she said loudly, “Good afternoon sir, can I help you?”

The man flashed her a winning smile as he draped his muscular body over the counter towards her, his eyes roving over her lewdly. “Can you ever…but first, darlin’, I’m looking for a change—” he indicated his hair.

“Really?”  Please say dye-job… please say dye-job… “What kind of change?”

“Well—” he started slowly, a smile gracing his handsome face. “I was thinking – blond…”

Two hours and the girl’s phone number later, the young man was whistling to himself again as he left the small salon. He looked hot and he knew it.

Blond was definitely the better way to go.

Two huge burly men squeezed into small café shop chairs, sitting outside and enjoying their lattes noticed the blond leave the salon.

The bigger guy nudged his friend, “D’jou see what I see?”

Putting his coffee down, the other man glanced over, a cruel smile playing across his scar-marked face. “Well lookie there. I’d recognize that kid anywhere—” he stood up. “If it isn’t little Joe Hardy.”

His friend stood, his eyes never once leaving the figure across the street. “You thinking what I’m thinking?” He was already moving before his friend chuckled and fell into step beside him:

“That kid and his brother caused us a lot of grief—” he smirked and picked up his pace. “And you know what they say…”

His friend nodded and finished just before they grabbed the blond young man and dragged him behind a dumpster. “Payback is a bitch.”

The End

Bonus Scene:

Callie Shaw smiled at Frank and ran a finger down his face, making him shiver. She liked to do that to her long time boyfriend.

Swallowing hard, the dark haired eighteen year old closed his eyes, his voice husky. “Callie…”

The pretty blond moved her mouth next to his ears and whispered something – Frank blushed, his eyes opening wide.

“But first,” she said glancing around the cramped enclosure of the van, almost as delighted as the Hardy brothers to see the vehicle back on the road again. “You wear the hat—”

Frank blinked. ‘The hat?’ And then groaned. ‘Oh shit.’

“Uh, Callie,” he started, “about the hat…”
