Splash Page: She flashed another smile and headed through a set of double doors. I finished off my own food and looked at Frank. “So?

“So...what?”

“What are you planning?”

Frank shrugged. “Just a hike, just wandering around, enjoying the day.” He glanced at my empty plate and glass. “Done?”

“Boy, you are in a rush. Give me a sec.” I took my time draining the last bit of juice and finally set the glass down. “Okay, now I’m done.”

Frank shook his head and got to his feet. “Come on, Joe.”

“I’m coming, already.” I got up and followed him out of the restaurant. “Anyway...don’t you know that patience is a virtue?”

He looked back at me. “Not now it isn’t.”

Special Notes: This story takes place after Snow White Queen. Although it is written in the same alternate first-person style, this is not a rewrite of an Undercover Brothers’ story.

Thanks to JD for her wonderful beta-ing as always.
