She was immensely proud of him for what he was doing – she didn’t know many adults who had this kind of courage – and at the same time she was terrified that his gesture wouldn’t be accepted in the manner it was intended. Closing her eyes she clutched a fisted hand over her heart and prayed he wouldn’t come back to her broken…
