Joe pulled his arm back to throw a punch at Frank. Joe made a fist. Nancy dropped her ice cream as she jumped to her feet. She put a hand on Joe’s arm. She said, “Don’t hit him.”
“Stay out of this,” Joie said as Nancy was pulled away from him.
Joe looked back at Frank. “No one ever looks at her. I’m going to make sure you never look at her again.”
Frank struggled to move away from Joe. He could see the apologetic look in Joe’s eyes, just before Joe punched him in the face. Frank fell back on the bench and covered his face with his hands.
