Joe tossed and turned in his bed. He was worried about Frank. He had gone out looking for Frank again after talking with Nancy. He had searched for hours with no sign of Frank. He had returned home frustrated and angry.

He couldn’t sleep. He climbed out of bed and made his way downstairs. It was early Wednesday morning. He was about to enter the living room when he heard a soft tapping on the door.

He went to the door and looked out the window. He pulled the door open quickly to reveal Nancy standing there. He ushered Nancy in and closed the door behind her.

Nancy set her bag down as he turned to face her. Joe said, "You made good time."

"I was able to get on the first flight out." She looked at him. "Did you come up with anything?"

"Nothing," Joe said. "Come on into living room." Joe sat on the couch while Nancy sat in the armchair. "I’m really worried about Frank. I went out after I talked with you, but I wasn’t able to find anything."

"Don’t worry, Joe. We’ll find Frank. He couldn’t have gone too far. Things will be all right." Nancy tried to sound reassuring even though she was really concerned.

Joe quickly opened his eyes. Something woke him. He realized he was on the couch. He lifted his head slowly and saw some movement on the stairs. He silently rolled off the couch onto his feet.

He made his way into the hallway. A small amount of light was coming through the window. He knew it was morning. He followed the shadow upstairs. The shadow went into Frank’s room. Joe rushed into Frank’s room and tackled the shadow. The shadow tossed Joe off. Joe hit the floor hard, landing on his back.

A moment later, a light came on, making Joe blink. He looked up. He saw Frank standing with his hand on the light switch.
