Pen Names: Aspen & WintersRose Board Name: Rokia Age: Upper 30's Location: Illinois Time Zone: Central What's your Occupation? I work in the medical research field Brief bio: Born in Arkansas, raised all over the place (literally) - I'm a writing fanatic (I love to write!). I have three brothers and three sisters (that's seven all together) and my parents have been married for 52 years! =). I currently live with one of my brothers. When did you start reading the Hardy Boys? When I was eleven Who started you reading the Hardy Boys? Found 'em in the Library and decided to try 'em out. When did you start writing Fan fiction? When I was thirteen (Battlestar Galactica, with my best friend) Who is your favorite character? FRANK!!!! (C'mon, people, he's he adorable?) What attracts you to the Hardy Boys? Good question. I think it's the constant hope that we could all have adventurous lives like the boys do. They're talented and you grow to care about them when you get into the books. What is your favorite Hardy Boys Series? The Casefiles - hands down, loved the Casefiles. What is your favorite Hardy Boys Book? #103, Campaign of Crime What is your favorite Hardy Boys moment? Good questions, lemme think... I like Joe getting found in "What Happened at Midnight"... What is your favorite Hardy Boys moment in your own stories? Ok... gotta think again... I think it's in a story I wrote with JD (Evergreen) "Ides of August" - where Joe is getting Frank out of the woods after the landslide... Who is your favorite original character in your own stories? Connor =). There's just something about him! Which of the Hardy Boys books are you familiar with or own? I'm familiar with all of them. I own ALL of the blue spines, almost all of the Digests (I think I need about twenty now) and almost all (but six? seven?) of the Casefiles. I also own four of the Applewood Reprints of the very original books. I also own all but two of the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Supermysteries. How would you describe your fan fic? The ones as WintersRose
have the boys in college - Frank is 20 and Joe is 19... It deals with
things that happen to the boys in a college setting - or did until I
wrote the Loss <G>. I'd say they're darker... The ones I write as
Aspen with Evergreen are lighter, more fun, have what I term as 'real
mysteries to be solved' as opposed to just reactions to things that
happen... I enjoy writing those a lot =) Anything else you would like to add? Nope, just that I hope you all enjoy the HDA! =) Are your stories open for critiquing? Yes
