Pen Name: fvhardy Board Name: fvhardy Real Name: Fiona Age: 25 Location: Ireland Time Zone: GMT What's your Occupation: Student/Receptionist Brief bio: I’m an avid reader but have a particular weakness for children’s books…aside from the Hardy Boys, I love Harry Potter and the Dark Materials trilogy. I’m doing an MA in popular Literature next year and want to do my thesis on children’s books. When did you start reading the Hardy Boys? When I was 9. Who started you reading the Hardy Boys? My mom gave me a Nancy Drew book and it bored me silly, but I discovered information about the Hardy Boys in the back and went to the library to dig one out and the rest, as they say, is history! When did you start writing Fan fiction? April, 2006 Who is your favorite character? JOE! I love him! What attracts you to the Hardy Boys? Besides Joe? The relationship between the brothers, action filled stories and something I can’t quite put my finger on… What is your favorite Hardy Boys Series? Casefiles and the Digests What is your favorite Hardy Boys Book? ‘What Happened at Midnight’ and ‘Brother against Brother’. I want to read ‘Thick as Thieves’ and ‘Dead of Night’ but have been unable to get my hands on the books so far. What is your favorite Hardy Boys moment? Too many to count but there’s a scene in Power Play where they lose control of the van and nearly crash. Afterwards, Frank tosses a coin to see who goes under the van and Joe loses. Once under the van, he won’t tell Frank what he sees and Frank ends up having to get under the van anyway. It’s a really funny exchange that makes me laugh every time. What is your favorite Hardy Boys moment in your own stories? Dunno yet, I’m still working on it. Who is your favorite original character in your own stories? I have no original OC yet. How would you describe your fan fic? Action packed, some violence and a tad Joe-centric. Which of the Hardy Boys books are you familiar with and/or own? Only a handful of Digests and Casefiles, the books are impossible to get over here. I get my reads from local libraries. Anything else you would like to add? Nope! Are your stories open for critiquing? Yes, but be gentle!
