What's your Occupation? Sales Representative

Brief bio: I’m a major mystery series book fan. I love books in general & own over 2000, but at least 80% of those are series. My favorites series is – surprise! – the Hardy Boys.

I do have other interests! My other main collection is dolls – I have over 500. I also like vintage clothes, nail art, and Formula 1 car racing. My ‘baby" is my bright red 1985 Firebird. I spend a lot of my free time chatting with my online friends, all of whom I hope to meet in person someday!

When did you start reading the Hardy Boys? I started a bit later than most people - eleven years ago, when I was 15.

Who started you reading the Hardy Boys? Nancy Drew did… I ran out of Nancy Drew Files, picked up a SuperMystery from the library & really loved the parts with the Hardys! Before that, I had assumed I wouldn’t like "boys books".

When did you start writing Fan fiction? I don’t really consider the funny little pieces I write to be "real" fanfic. However I started writing stuff like that for my friends around 3 years ago.

Who is your favorite character? Definitely Joe!

What attracts you to the Hardy Boys? I love mysteries! Especially series mysteries. I was first attracted to the Hardys through the Casefiles versions, and the whole Iola plot intrigued me. I like the fact that the books have good plots (not counting the newest Digests!), characters who I’d like to know in real life & you can always count on them to be "clean" reads.

What is your favorite Hardy Boys Series? Casefiles & SuperMysteries.

What is your favorite Hardy Boys Book? Casefile #1 – "Dead on Target"

What is your favorite Hardy Boys moment? I always love the scene in "Mysterious Caravan" where Frank’s boxer shorts accidentally drop out of his jacket sleeve, when he’s in the airplane.

What is your favorite Hardy Boys moment in your own stories? Probably when Aunt Gertrudel ran off with the donkey cart driver!

Who is your favorite original character in your own stories? I don’t really have original characters, just variations on the already established ones.

How would you describe your fan fic? Humor/parody. I can’t help it - even when I start writing something serious, I always seem to drift to the comic side of it.

Which Hardy Books do you own? I need one more SuperMystery & nine more Casefiles to complete my collection of those. I just started collecting the Digests last year, so I only have around 30 so far. I have a wide selection of OT & RT hardcovers - DJs, bluespines, flashlights, tweeds. I also have several Clues Brothers, and a lot of miscellaneous others. The pride of my collection is my red cover first edition of Cabin Island, which I bought for 50 cents!

Are your stories open for critiquing? No
