Pen Name: RM
Board Name: RM Location: East Coast Time Zone: Eastern What's your Occupation? Editor (And there is the reason that I love to write) J When did you start reading the Hardy Boys? I think I was about 12 or 13. Who started you reading the Hardy Boys? My older brother had one of the original Hardy Boys books. The book ended up on a bookshelf and I started reading it and I’ve been reading Hardy Boys ever since. When did you start writing Fan fiction? I started writing fan fiction back in the summer of 1988. I had seen programs on television and started thinking about other ways the episodes could end and that began my love of writing. From there, the ideas just seemed to blossom. Who is your favorite character? It has to be Frank, of course. But there are moments when I do love Joe. But Frank is number 1 in my book. What attracts you to the Hardy Boys? I think I’m attracted to the Hardy Boys because the stories are good. Yes, there have been some stories that just too unbelievable, but it is nice to know that there are writers who want to make them believable. It shows that anyone can do anything they put their mind to as long as they give it a try and that is what Frank and Joe do. They never say can’t. What is your favorite Hardy Boys Series? I think my favorite series is the Casefiles. There are some crazy moments that just seem to work. What is your favorite Hardy Boys Book? It’s hard to choose just one. I have read many of them several times. What is your favorite Hardy Boys moment? This is another tough one because there are so many. I guess I enjoy it every time they catch the bad guy. What is your favorite Hardy Boys moment in your own stories? That moment hasn’t come yet, but I will let you all know when it does. J Who is your favorite original character in your own stories? This is another question that has to be answered in the future. J How would you describe your fan fic? Adventures with a good mystery. A Hardy Boys story just doesn’t do for me unless I can have a mystery in it for them to solve. And that’s what I like to write. Which of the Hardy Boys books do you own? I own all the Casefiles, all the Blue Spines, all of the Supermysteries and many of the other books that have been published. I’m not sure where they would be classified. Anything else you would like to add? I got into writing because I love coming up with scenarios for the characters to act out. You have to love what you do and take what you know to make a good story. Thank you all for taking the time to read and enjoy the stories that the muses have helped to create. It is a pleasure to be with a group of people who enjoy reading and writing about the exploits of Frank and Joe.
