Plot Blurb: When Frank and Joe go out to Maine to follow a lead by the Gray Man, they meet up with two new girl characters and a new case.

Splash Page: "Well, now we need to get back over there," C. J. calmly explained, "I’m sure there are still men in the building. Vicki and I can handle them."

"No," the Gray Man said, "You two are going to stay here until this is over." The girls walked to where he motioned before he brought his own gun back up. Then quietly, Vicki and C. J. began to form a plan.

After they were sure no one was watching them, Vicki stood up silently and walked away. C. J. followed a few moments later, her eyes watching the Gray Man. He never turned to look at them. The two sneaked off and headed in the direction of the shack. No one else was in sight.

Cautiously, they entered and looked around. A long hallway greeted them. Try as hard as they could, they couldn’t remember which room they had been directed to before. Voices suddenly drifted up from the hall and they stepped back. They turned to check another hallway when Vicki heard something behind her. Before she could make a move, she felt hands grab her arm and pull her into the hallway!

Special Notes: This is my first story on this site. I don’t expect everyone to like it but I hope you enjoy this story. It took time and effort to create this for all Hardy Boys fans that read from this site.

Vicki Silver – She is seventeen years old with long, light brown hair and blue eyes. Also a detective, like the Hardys’ she is always ready for action. She has a serious attitude towards most cases. Vicki is most like Joe and usually jumps into situations without thinking. Always casual in appearance, Vicki is no fashion queen, but everyone likes her relaxed fashion and personality. Although, she sometimes gets too serious, her best friend C. J. is always there for her. And strangely enough, although not mentioned in the first story, Vicki’s boyfriend is Joe Clark, who looks a lot like Joe Hardy. Basically, she’s cool and ready for a new mystery whenever she can get one. She lives in Sport, Maine.

C. J. Summers – This girl is five foot six with brown hair and brown eyes. Out of herself and Vicki, she’s the smarter of the group. She is always thinking of new ideas and is almost always surprised when Vicki comes up with something. Even though, she’s two inches shorter than Vicki, C. J. doesn’t let it stop the fact that she’s tough. C. J. is more likely to think over a situation and helping Vicki. She’s more into fashion than Vicki and definitely knows her style. C. J. is also seventeen.

Joe Hardy – He is seventeen with blond hair and blue eyes. At six feet tall, he may stick out, but he’s always prepared. Joe is the impatient one of the brothers and usually ends up finding trouble. He goes by his emotions and gut instinct, which sometimes isn’t far from the truth. Even if his ideas seem out of proportion at times, they sometimes come in handy. Joe may not appear to be smart, but beneath his football build he really is an intelligent person. He’s more likely to believe stories about treasures than his brother, but that never stops him. Joe has faced many great losses, including the death of his girlfriend, Iola, but he always keeps going.

Frank Hardy – Frank is eighteen and at six foot one, has brown hair and brown eyes. Always the one to follow logic, he sometimes gets annoyed by Joe’s irrational ideas. Always a thinker, Frank solves problems, given he has the time. He is coolheaded, unlike his brother, but occasionally sees his brother’s logic. Frank and Joe are total opposites, making their detective duo that much more powerful. His steady girlfriend is Callie Shaw and no matter how much Joe complains about her, she has always always been his favorite.

Callie Shaw – Callie is also eighteen with blonde hair and brown eyes. She often feels left out because of the bond between the two brothers. She wishes to help out on cases, but to me, she’s just annoying. Even though she does help out sometimes, whenever she’s around, something is bound to happen. Callie is very determined to not be left out and is constantly demanding to help out. She is far from being my favorite character.
