Author's Name:  Wintersrose

Title of Story:  Living in Darkness Trilogy - Part Three “The Abandoned”

Type of Story:  AU
Rating of Story:  PG-15

Characters in Story:  The usual suspects and my original characters

Warnings:  Some adult content, some language and some angst

Plot Blurb:  "As ‘The Abandoned begins, not only is Joe gone, Frank has also been taken -- and left to struggle unaided.  As friends, family and the FBI all endeavor to locate the missing Hardy boys, can Frank and Joe hold out until help arrives?"

Splash Page: His walk came to an abrupt stop when he heard twigs snapping in the nearby woods and he turned, slowly, walking stick at the ready, in that direction.  More twigs snapped as he heard a low grumbling sound, and Frank's heart made a beeline right for his throat.

Moments later he could feel something very large that smelled of fish coming toward him, and Frank had to wonder what a brown bear was doing in the woods in Massachusetts before he collapsed to the ground – and waited.

Special Notes:  Dedications, dedications.

First and foremost to JD, who is the world’s best beta.  Face facts, my friend, I’m not gonna take that title from you!

Secondly to Alaina for being a constant source of encouragement.

And thirdly to the rest of the HDA – you are all such great people and always make me want to give you my best work.  Love you all!
